It has been a week and I’m Windows free, I just needed one application which is only available for Windows and I managed to get it running through wine. The beautiful Linux distribution that has accomplished all this change in my computer using habits is called Arch Linux. Is a simple flavor of Linux aiming the intermediate to advanced Linux user, I choose it cause is easy to setup has a great set of application and just works. I’ve been using Linux for three years (mostly Gentoo) and never accomplished leaving Windows completely. The motivation for the change are: The current happenings in the proprietary world, DRM, Windows wanting to control the way you use your PC, Windows Vista being a big failure, etc…emoticon. Well I just hope to stay on Linux now for a while, I wish it were forever but who knows maybe I’ll change to *BSD emoticon. Well here it is for now, hope you enjoyed reading. Thanks.
