I have been receiving feedback about how people feel I hate Microsoft, well no, I don’t. I’ve been using MS since before Windows 95 can not remember well since I was ~8 years old at the moment, I just remember Win95 and how I needed to use the command line to install games, I then moved to Win98 and Win98 SE, Win ME, Win2000 then Win XP. I felt only dissapointed by Win ME, but in general I liked the others before, but that feeling of disappointed vanished when I got Win2000 I liked it a lot, but it got better when XP came out, almost everybody was whining it was unstable, but I felt it was solid. And I must say the best Windows release ever has to be Windows XP SP2 no doubt. But, time has passed and I felt like I could not do much with my computer anymore, so I started creating web sites and doing things that could entertain me, since I was/am an enthusiast, yet I always felt empty like there was something more I needed to do with my PC.

At that time when  I was in my Networks and Telecommunications bachelors degree one Professor told us that Linux was an alternate Operating System and that most of the people out there didn’t knew that it had or could have more power than Windows. Thats when I said, wow there is something more than Windows out there? Well I was told before by my parent and how he loved so much using UNIX back in the days and that Linux was a UNIX like system, but he never told me it could be used as a Desktop OS. Thats when it began, I downloaded Red Hat 9 and installed it on a second Hard Drive. And thats when I realized, yeah there is something more to computing.

All in all, I always wanted to use Linux as my main OS when I found out all about freedom and opensource. So I started reading the courses on linux.org to become an avid user with Linux, but the day never came from me to leave Windows completely as of this past week. And believe me what I love about Windows Vista, is how, it led me to Linux full time.emoticon. Is just the feeling of community, we helping each other, discovering problems and reporting them, in that way contributing to the system. Well thats All. Thanks for reading people and feel free to comment.
