A few days back I reported I would be doing a Presentation about Storage Area Networks, but the challenge lied in the fact that nothing more but, open source software will be used. And here I am reporting that Openoffice.org is doing a fine job at making this presentation top notch. This presentation is due for tomorrow evening, lets hope all goes as expected and I do a fine job at class tomorrow.

So far the hard part of it all is that Openoffice.org doesn’t have a great Spanish orthographic corrector, and this is for a Spanish talking audience. So I’ve been making sure every word that isn’t correctly detected is spelled right. WOW, have I mentioned Spanish is such a hard language? All those accents and present, past and future verbs conjunctions that can be made and need to be correctly placed in the right sentences. I’m glad I was born with Spanish as my mother language, cause it would have been a pain to learn it from scratch, like I did with the English language.

Even stranger, writing in English comes more spontaneous and logical for me to do. And I have less orthographic errors with the English language. In fact I even think some words in English first and then come out with the Spanish meaning. This happened to me last job interview, I had to say a word in English cause I couldn’t figure how it was translated in Spanish. That was weird.
