Since I wrote my last entry in this web log, I started installing Gentoo Linux, I know it’s been more than 24 hours but is true it takes that much to install Gentoo completely with a Desktop Environment, the reward? well a more responsive system customized to your liking and suited to your needs. The downside? Watching text scroll by the screen for hours in the compilation of all the packages. Well, I know there is the Gentoo Linux graphical installer, but I was against it since the very beginning of the project, and I was proved right, it has been the biggest failure of an installer I have ever seen. It gives lots of errors which some of them although simple, makes you begin the installation again from the very beginning. And there is nothing like installing Gentoo the traditional way, like I did when I started using Linux back in 2004 the text installer way.

Well, all in all, I have a system ready now, and will look to be gaming even more and maintaining the Arch Linux newsletters up to date. I will work, on my Arch Linux installation later this week. So expect more on the happenings of my system. Thanks for reading.
